"Yonsei Vision 2020" was announced to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Yonsei University, and the Global 5-5-10 was announced to mark a special milestone for the university. Global 5-5-10 aims for Yonsei University to become one of the top ten universities in five research areas within the next five years. It was initiated with 15 projects and five promising projects in 2007. Eight projects are supported through first and second evaluations in consecutive years.
